A Twix is a wonderful candy bar

I can't believe it! Walker Methodist has wi-fi! I'm sitting with mom here while she finishes up her multitude of beverages displayed before her; hot tea, about two tablespoons of milk and a shot glass of water.
A new resident sitting next to mom at lunch is fixated on candy bars, the Twix bar, in particular. She says "A Twix is a wonderful candy bar" frequently, in loud declarative sentences. Mom thinks it's pretty funny and she jabs her thumb in the candy lady's general direction and rolls her eyes with malicious glee. "If you have more candy, you have more fun!" Another zinger from the candy lady.

Indoor Birdhouses

I was hanging out at the compound with Mosey yesterday, getting her prepped and prettified for her in-house mani/pedi. While we were waiting for Linda the cosmetologist to show up I continued pimping mom's room out; this time I strung more colored lights and started hanging stuff from the ceiling. To mom's delight, I dangled two thriftstore birdhouses in the corners and she asked if any birds would nest there. I assured her that it's definitely a possibility. They look pretty cool up there and mom seems mesmerized by them, as if waiting for some birds to swoop into her room and make a home for themselves. Dementia isn't all bad.
